Hi everyone! Hope you're all enjoying your week! Wow, can you believe it's already February?!? I can't ... the time is definitely flying by way too fast. I also want to say THANK YOU to all who have been leaving such sweet and wonderful comments for me. I really appreciate you!
Anyhoo, let's get down to business. If you've been following me, you know I'm part of Just A Few Friends' (JAFF) "The Pride". My sister lionesses are Elsa, Krystal, Kimi and Suzie. This month, we decided to have a mini blog hop of sorts. It's gonna be loads of fun and I hope you're able to play along! We will be sharing projects from now through February 14th in hopes of inspiring your inner Cupid. Yes, Valentine's Day will be here before you know it! Trust me, you'll want to visit all of our blogs for some yummy goodness and maybe even a little surprise! So remember, start off at Elsa's blog and continue hopping until you end up here with me.
My first project is a Tim Holtz inspired vintage tag. To me, anything vintage is romantic, and romance is what Valentine's Day is all about, right? The tag is cut from kraft CS using a Sizzix XL die. I stamped images and distressed the tag using TH Distress Ink. Of course the birdcage and bird were cut from the TH Sizzix die. I looked for this die forever and finally found it at a local craft store (had to pay regular price for it!). I added a vintage-y SU brad on top, with mini roses (Photo Craft), and some Maya Road fibers. The pink sweetheart flowers (Photo Craft), lace trim (Fabric Mart) and pearl strand (Wal-Mart) were all from local stores.
Close up of the brad and flowers ~
The ticket sentiment and die are from Whimsy Stamps, stamped in TH Distress Ink again.
I hope you liked Project #1! I had lots of fun making it and as I said in an earlier post, I'm trying to do more vintage-y/shabby chic style projects. So different from what I usually create. Be sure to come back to "hunt" with us (especially on February 5th)! Until next time, take care!

My attempt at vintage/shabby chic
This was my first attempt at making a vintage-y tag. At the time I made it I thought it turned out pretty good. Now ... not sure I'm liking it very much. It needs to be a little more dimensional, especially the lace at the bottom. I didn't have gathered lace at the time so I just laid it flat without thinking that I could've stitched it to make gathers. Oh well - not too bad for my first try.
These are some flowers I made for a monthly swap I'm hosting with some FB friends. I like to call them shabby chic, but not exactly sure they fall in that category. What do you think?
Close up ~
I'm really happy with the way these flowers turned out! Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting - I really appreciate that! I'll be sharing more projects in the coming days (think mini blog hop!) so I hope you'll come back soon! Until next time, take care!

My 1st Deco Den box
I just started playing around with recording videos and this was the third one I made. I saw this technique on YouTube this past week and have been obsessing about it ever since. It was fun to make and I know I'll be making more! You'll need to turn off my blog music to listen to the YouTube video. Just scroll all the way down to the bottom of my page and hit the pause or stop button on the player. You'll still be able to hear the YouTube video. Sorry for the humbug! Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

Breaking Dawn Coaster Calendar
I made this for a blog hop in December but ended up not using it. It's a pretty plain and simple calendar, but since I'm such a TWILIGHT fan, I'm very happy with the way it turned out. Hope you do too! All papers used are from the DCWV Immortal Love line.
The final installment of the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn Part 2, comes out on November 16th ... can't wait! Thanks for stopping by and until next time, keep on crafting and take care!

Roar with Pride!
Hey everyone! So were you wondering what was coming? Well, the wait is over! The Lionesses are excited to invite you into our dens for some creative fun! We've been working hard to create projects that will encourage and inspire you to use all those supplies you've been hoarding! And we know you all are hoarders, just like us! So what's up with the terminology regarding lionesses and dens? Well, I have joined "Just A Few Friends" who happen to be very creative and awesome ladies and together we have become a PRIDE! This Pride will do monthly projects to keep your mojo going. Once a month we will have a sort of MINI BLOG HOP! We will each create one assigned project and you can hop from blog to blog learning, creating and commenting!
This month's project was a design project creating anything with teapots, teacups, coffee mugs, etc. This was a HUGE challenge for me as I never thought to use a teapot/teacup on a project. Here's what I came up with:
It's a "Get Well Soon" teabag holder and tag set. Since so many people I know have been sick with that awful bug that's been going around, I thought this would be something nice to give. I included two packages of my favorite jasmine green tea and the teapot in the middle pocket is a tag which can be pulled out to write a special message on.
These cute teapots were cut from an SVG file designed by our Alpha Lioness Elsa. There are five different teapots and a few other shapes in the file which she has for sale, so please stop by her blog if you're interested in getting this versatile SVG file.
I am totally blown away that my fellow Pride members asked me to join them on this adventure. We all have different styles of crafting, which is why I love this group. If you've been following me, you know my style is more clean and simple. However, I will be leaving my comfy den and trying new techniques and projects inspired by my fellow Kitty Kats. Speaking of my Pride, let me introduce you to them:
Please visit them and show them some love! AND, if you become a follower of all our blogs and comment on all our projects, Elsa will have some fantastic blog candy for you! I thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope we will inspire you to create! Until next time, take care.

Happy New Year and My Blog Hop Winner!
Happy New Year everyone! Wow, I can't believe how long I've been away from my blog! I'm so sorry - I was on vacation after the blog hop and went to the mainland. Well, I got sick on my trip and when I returned home, I got worse so I was out of commission for a good couple of weeks. Finally started feeling better before Christmas and New Years, but wouldn't you know it, my allergies started up in a major way because of the vog from the Big Island!
ANYHOO, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year celebration and to start this year off, I want to announce my blog candy winner from the Tis The Season to Hop blog hop! Thanks to all of you who became followers and commented on my projects ... the winner is CRAFTY PLEASER! Ms. Jordan, please e-mail me your mailing address and I will send your prize right out to you!
Well, I hope to be creating more this year (that's one of my goals) and sharing my creations with you. Thanks for sticking by me through thick and thin - it surely means a lot to me! Until next time, take care!
