Sister Stamps - Release #14 - Chinese Zodiac - Rat

Happy Aloha Friday!  So are you liking all the projects for Release #14?   I sure hope so!  Here's the ATC I created using the Year of the Rat stamp.  I decided to name him Ben, like the rat in the Jackson 5 song.  Isn't he cute?  I colored him with my Copics - first time using my warm grays and blended in my cool grays.  I've used scraps from my stash for the base and the first layer of the ATC, and some washi paper also from my stash.  I added a piece of twine, a punched out label, some pearls and a little ticket I made with a stamp set from Studio L2E

Here's a close-up of Ben and his long skinny tail that I cut!  Hahaha!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to head on over to the rest of the DT blogs for some inspiring projects from some talented ladies!
Until next time, have a great weekend and take care!

Sister Stamps - Release #14 - Chinese Zodiac - Boar

Hey everyone!  Welcome to Sister Stamps Release #14!  Have you been checking out all the fab creations from Jenny and the ladies?  If not, please be sure you do!  Continuing on with my ATC collection for the Zodiac signs, I've used the Year of the Boar stamp.  To me, this image looks like a she, so I decided to name her Miss Piggy.  She doesn't look like a mean old boar, does she?!?  Anyway, I've colored her with my Copics, layered some washi paper on to some DP from my stash, used a SU punch and embossed it with my new cherry blossom folder, added an epoxy heart that I made (I'll show more of that in a later post), and finished the card up with some bling.  I love how she turned out!

A close up of Miss Piggy - and yes, I cut her out!  I don't mind cutting images out as much anymore.  Remember when I used to HATE it?!?

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to come back tomorrow to see what I do with the little Year of the Rat image!  Be sure to head on over to the rest of the DT blogs and check out their projects for some inspiration!
Until next time, take care!

Happy Mother's Day Blog Hop ... with The Pride

Welcome to The Pride's Mother's Day Blog Hop! I hope you're enjoying all the projects you've seen so far. You should've prowled on over to my den from Suzie's den, but if you didn't, please start out at our Mama Elsa's den, here. As you know by now, this month's challenge was to alter a box for a Mother's Day present. Well, I didn't really know what I was gonna do until I was browsing YT the other night and stopped by RoxyBee04's channel. I saw an entry she got from Letty (fromscrapstocrafts) for her current giveaway and I knew I wanted to make THAT box. Thanks for the inspiration Letty! So here's my altered matchbox. As you'll see in the last picture, I created three little boxes, adhered them together, then made the cover for all three. I'm not sure why the color of the paper looks red in two of the pictures, but the paper is actually pink. Here's the view from the top:

So what do you think? I'm giving this box to my mom for Mother's Day because she really LOVES that candy! I can't believe I actually figured out the dimensions and measurements for this matchbox to fit the candy, because I'm really bad at math! Hahaha! Anyway, thanks for stopping by and now it's time to pounce on over to Margaret's den here. I hope you'll leave me a comment as I love to read what you all have to say. Have a great weekend and until next time, take care!
