This next card is from my DF Chalsie. She and I love Twilight and Edward so much! Check out this awesome card she made for me:

Close up of Edward just for Kyoko! Look, Kyoko, Edward Cullen is staring at you! LOL! Thanks, Chals, for all the goodies that came with this beautiful card and for your friendship!

July OCS for ManLe

Hey all! Hope you had a great Saturday! After my marathon RAK posting session, I worked on some cards. Here is my July OCS card for ManLe. I'm gonna be dropping this card off to her tomorrow so I'll make the deadline of July 20th! Sheesh, why do I always do this to myself??? Could it be I work better under pressure??? Hmm, maybe ...

I made another tri-shutter card and sure hope that ManLe will like it! Here's the card in the "closed" position:

Here is the entire card in the "open" position:

Thanks for stopping by! I'll be posting my HB Challenge card next!

Simple card

Can you believe it? I finally made a card using my Cricut! I know, I haven't posted anything about creating with my Cricut, but believe it or not, I HAVE been playing around with it. I'm still getting the hang of the pressure feature and the sizes of the images. So much to learn!

Anyhoo, I had a baby's first birthday party last Saturday, so I made this HK card. Pretty simple, but I'm really happy with the way it turned out. Especially since it was my very first Cricut card creation that I could actually give away! Haha!

Thanks for stopping by and I'll be posting a few more RAKs before I start my crafting. See you soon!

Incredible RAK from sweet Cami

Another awesome crafter I met through Blogland is Cami. She is always leaving such sweet comments and encouraging words on my blog. We hit it off immediately. I was lucky enough to meet Cami in person last week. She is just as I imagined! Super friendly and funny, and such a beautiful lady! Check out these gorgeous goodies she gave me ... this card layout is one that I've never, ever, seen before. Isn't it beautiful??? She put so much detail into the card and the gift bag. I still can't get over it ...

As if the card and bag weren't enough, she STUFFED the bag with all these goodies! Thanks, Cami, for everything! Especially my special, secret treat!
Here's a close-up of the GG's Haku Lei ...

This is a shot of the INSIDE of the gift bag ... just like a designer bag, there's a pocket inside.
And this is the BACK of the gift bag ... another pocket with a tag in it!

Isn't this an amazing creation? As I said before, Cami put so much work and detail into this bag. If you haven't visited Cami's blog yet, you need to go there ASAP! Girl, you are so talented - I can't thank you enough for your generosity. I am so glad you have come into my life! Crafting sisters forever!!! Can't wait to get together again!

July OCS & Unbelieveable RAK from ManLe

Hey all! Yes, it's been a while since my last post. Please accept my apologies! I knew my "burn out" was coming, due to my last card making "marathon". Haha! So, the next few posts will be all the awesome RAKs I've recently received. This unbelieveable RAK and thank you card is from ManLe. This card is her version of the joy fold card. I really love the asian elements of this card, ManLe! Thank you so much for EVERYTHING! And believe me people, when I say EVERYTHING, check out what I'm talking about ...

ManLe put together "a little something" (as she called it) for me, as a thank you for helping her last Saturday at the make & take at the Mall. She gave me a whole lot of different papers, including her Core'dinations paper (love this paper!) and double-sided 12x12 papers too! They are all so beautiful! She also gave me this set of three canisters with every single ribbon that she carries, along with extra dollipins and flathead pins! ManLe has a great idea on storing ribbon on her website, so check it out. She carries the canisters as well as the dollipins at her store.
My July OCS partner was ManLe - what a coincidence, huh? Well, check out this beautiful pop-up card that she made:

She knew my favorite color is purple and I love the way she used all different shades of it. This card is beautiful, ManLe! Thank you so much! My card to you is a work in progress ... heehee! Also, please say "HI" to Victor for me - it was so much fun talking story with you guys the other night.
Thanks for visiting and stay tuned for more RAK posts and some card creations ... Aloha!

A RAK and some new local bloggers

Janis over at Creative Expressions bought some 7-Eleven coupon books from me and like Joy and Lorna, she couldn't just send the check in the mail. Janis made this cute gatefold/shutter card and included some beautiful bling and clips! Thanks Janis! Janis is new to Blogland, so please visit her when you have a chance and check her out!

Another new blogging sister is Brenda, from Sweet as a Gumdrop. If you haven't visited Brenda, please do so - she does some really cute punch art creations! You won't be disappointed!

I have more RAKs to post (along with some cards I made) so I hope you'll come back and visit again! Until then, take care and Aloha!

Last of my thank you cards

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you were all able to get out into the sun today! The weather here in Hawaii was awesome! I drove past the ocean this afternoon and I really wished I had my camera with me - the different shades of blue were just unbelieveable - so beautiful!

These are the last two thank you cards I made last week during my "marathon". Haha! Hope you like them!

I have a bunch of RAKs I will be posting, along with some cards I made. I'm so lucky (spoiled?) to have such thoughtful blogging friends! Until next time, take care of yourselves and be safe. Aloha ...

Some cards and a birthday wish

I made these cards for some new friends I met in Blogland. I also included some stamped images for them. Hope they like 'em!

I had trouble with this card. I wanted to use colors that I don't normally use, so I chose yellow and orange. Everything came together until I mounted the layered piece to the card. Boy was it crooked! Sheesh! Sorry, my friend, I don't know what happened! But, I think the card turned out ok.

Finally, I'd like to wish Jodi a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I was lucky enough to meet Jodi one day at J's. Yes, ladies, she is as sweet in person as she is on her blog. The one thing I admire about Jodi is that with all the hundreds of followers she has, she still has time to comment on our blogs. She is such a talented gal and hasn't forgotten us "little people". She is very grounded and down to earth. So, Jodi, I hope you had a wonderful birthday with your hubby, family and friends. All of us here in Blogland wish you the very best!
Now, with that said, generous Jodi is giving away this awesome blog candy to celebrate her birthday! See how she is? It's her birthday and she's giving away presents! If you haven't done so yet, please stop by Jodi's blog and wish her a happy birthday!
Until next time, take care and be safe. Aloha ...

Addicted

Happy Wednesday all! First, let me apologize to all of you who follow my blog. You can probably tell that I'm addicted to TWILIGHT and Robert Pattinson, right? Well, at least I admit it. That being said, I'm sorry if you're getting tired of seeing Edward. But, I just got my "Edward" stamp from The Greeting Farm and I couldn't wait to ink him up! Isn't he adorable? Come on, Kyoko, even you have to admit that he's a cutie pie! I made this belated birthday card for my GF's daughter, and I'm also giving her the new US Magazine, "Sexy Stars of Twilight"! Don't worry, she's a high school gal who's as crazy about Twilight as I am. I hope she likes it!

Close up of Edward (yes, I cut him out) ...

And I gave his hair some highlights ...

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Aloha ...

Thank you cards

Happy Tuesday everyone! Here are a couple of very belated thank you cards (better late than never, right?).

I've said this before, but I'm gonna say it again. If you've been following me, you know that I don't like cutting. (I can't believe I'm gonna say this ...) However, RECENTLY I've realized that you can do so much more with your images if you cut them out. (Here it comes ...) So, I guess, (ugh) I'm starting ... to enjoy cutting now. Oh. My. Goodness. I'll never hear the end of this one from my BFF (you all know who that is).

Anyhow, hope you enjoy these cards ...

Although you can't tell from this picture, this is a joy fold card. I got the instructions from SCS. Very easy to make - try it if you haven't done so yet.

Ok, gotta get ready for work. Thanks for stopping by and leaving such encouraging comments! I really appreciate them! Have a great day and until next time ... Aloha!

Productive day

Hey all - hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! I had a very productive day today. I can't believe it myself - I actually made six different cards! Don't ask me how long it took me, but it's 12:18 a.m. and I just finished the last one. Anyhow, as much as I want to post all the cards I made, I better spread them out during the week.

This first card is actually the last one I made. It's for a blogging friend who always leaves such kind and encouraging comments for me. I hope she likes it. I also included some goodies, but forgot to take a picture of it and it's already in the envelope. Oh well. Maybe she'll post it on her blog ...

Look at all the cutting I did for this card:

I can't stand it! I'm pretty proud of myself ...

That's it for tonight, actually this morning. Thanks for visiting and until next time, take care of yourselves and be safe. Aloha ...

A work of art & an award

Happy 4th of July everyone! Hope everyone had a wonderful day today! The weather here in the islands is just beautiful and the various fireworks shows are gonna start in about 40-45 minutes all over Oahu.

I wanted to share this beautiful card I received from my DF Shirley, all the way from the UK! I've been admiring Shirley's cards for a while now, and got to see a couple of them in real life. If you haven't checked out Shirley's blog yet, please do so! You won't be disappointed! She puts so much thought and detail into her cards, that they are not really cards, but pieces of art! See for yourself ...

The large flowers are three layers deep, with punched out leaves, and silk & bead flowers accenting them.

Shirley even attached a cute little kitty charm to one of the flowers! It matches perfectly with the Tilda image, which was colored superbly.

Thank you so very much Shirley, for this gorgeous one-of-a-kind card. I will treasure it always. Shirley was also kind enough to pass on the "Uber Amazing Blog" award to me! Thank you again, Shirley, for thinking of me!

Of course I'm sending this award to all of you awesome blogging sisters who always take the time out to leave such nice comments on my blog. Without your encouraging words, I'm not sure I'd keep up this blog. Thanks for visiting and until next time, take care and be safe. Aloha ...

Stuff I gave away, part 2

I made this card for a friend's belated birthday. I really love this cutie patootie image!

I made this card for a friend who's moving back to the mainland. I thought this image was perfect since this GG is holding an envelope, and I wanted to be sure my friend keeps in touch with me.
She also loves TWILIGHT as much as I do, so I made her an Edward post it note holder/frame.

I really might have to make one for myself! That's it for now. Thanks for visiting and until next time, take care of yourselves, be safe out there and have a wonderful 4th of July! Aloha ...
