May Secret Sister Swap

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you all are enjoying your weekend. Since I have quite a few Magnolia stamps that have yet to see ink, I decided that I would be using each and every one for my SSS cards. When I finish using all of them, I will move on to another stamp line. Here's the card I made for my May SSS:

I didn't have a stamp with a sentiment to match my layout, so I stuck on a computer generated one. It's exactly what I wanted.

Anyhoo, I'm participating in a blog hop next month, using my Cricut! I'm pretty excited (and nervous) since the hop is with some ladies I found on FB who are awesome Cricut creators. This is Erica's page (Cricut Craft Room) on FB. If this link doesn't work, search for Cricut Craft Room and it'll take you to Erica's page. As always, thank you so much for stopping by and leaving all your wonderful comments. I really appreciate them! Until next time, take care and be safe.

Quick Graduation Card

Happy Saturday everyone! Quick post today - made a super simple and easy graduation card for a sweet young lady who's graduating tonight. The school colors are royal blue and white, can you tell? Hehehe ...

Had to put some bling somewhere ...

I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder, Nesties scallop circle, grad cap from Stampin' Up, and the Forever Young Cricut cart.

That's it for now. If you all are going to graduations and parties afterward, please be sure to stay safe on the roads and don't drink and drive. Until next time, take care.

Browsing YouTube

So I've recently been playing with my Cricut Create and decided that I needed an upgrade. No, I didn't get the E2, but I did purchase the original Cricut Expression! Can't wait to start playing with that baby! Anyway, I was browsing YouTube for tips and stuff and came across the YouTube Channel for Craft Junkie Too. Maybe you all already know about her, but in case you don't, I just wanted to share with you. She's definitely got great ideas, tips, etc. on her channel, and she has a blog! Click here for some awesomeness! She also hosts a "linky party" on Fridays, and it's such a great idea I hope you'll check it out. Remember that dragon gift bag and card I made? I linked it here on Tracy's blog. Thanks for letting all of us crafters share our creations with your followers Tracy!

That's it for now peeps. Until next time, take care and happy crafting!!!

Grad card, RAK, TY card and Maui

Did you have a fun-filled weekend? I sure did! I got to hang out with some crafting friends at a birthday party and received this surprise RAK from Joy! Super cute gable box with some yummies! Thanks Joy! I had a TON of fun and think I lost some weight in the sauna! LOL!!!

Also went to my cousin's graduation from the University of Hawaii - she's going to be a teacher! Congratulations Corinna - you did it! Since I've been getting better using my Cricut, I decided to try (again) and make a Hello Kitty card. Dang - this cartridge has to be one of the most "humbug" ones out there. HK always comes out super cute, but it's hard work putting her together! Since I was rushing, I didn't take a very good picture - sorry about that.

I also received this sweet thank you card from my GF Kris's daughter, Krislen.

Another crafter in the family, eh? Thanks sister - I'm gonna share those cookies or the next time you see me, I'm gonna be twice as "fluffy"! Hahahah!

Just wanted to throw these two pictures in of Maui Boy. You can see his furry belly in the picture above. He just wouldn't move off my table!!! When he finally got up, he shot me the stink eye and then turned his back to me. He wouldn't even look at me! The nerve huh? Oh well, gotta love our fur babies, right?

That's it for now. I hope you all have a wonderful week. Summer is definitely here - it's been so hot that it's hard to concentrate when I'm crafting!!! Until next time, stay cool and take care.

Another gift bag and birthday card set

Happy Saturday everyone! Hope you all are enjoying your weekend so far! I was invited to a birthday party today for my GF Teri's dad. He's 91 years old and he looks so good! He's such a rascal and always has something funny to say to me whenever I see him! Anyway, since I've been having so much fun using my Cricut again, I decided to make a card and matching gift bag. I used the Pagoda cartridge for this project. Here's how they came out ...

By the way, the symbol I used means HEALTH. I've been searching for different Cricut sites and videos, and recently came across My Critter Creations. It's a relatively new blog, so head on over there and check it out! Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for stopping by! Until next time, take care.

CATS - May

If I remember correctly, and I sure hope I do, my partner for the May Card and Tag Swap ("CATS") loves pandas. So of course, I had to use my Create A Critter cartridge! This month's challenge for the CATS was to use pink, orange and yellow. I really like how the card and tag came out! I'm also entering this card in the CPS #217 challenge.

The tag is also made from a Cricut cartridge called Lacey Labels. The more I look at the card and tag, the cuter they get! Thanks for stopping by!

RAKs from some very sweet friends

This past weekend was filled with surprise RAKs from some very sweet friends. The funny thing is, they were all square boxes! Check them out - this one is from Kris ...

This one is from Brenda ...

This one is from Joy ...

Thanks so much ladies! You really made my Mother's Day extra special! I hope you all enjoyed your special day as well.

Another Cricut creation

I needed a gift bag in a hurry last Friday and since I just finished playing with my Cricut for my CATS, I thought I would use it again for the bag. I just absolutely love the Create A Critter cartridge! Here's the gift bag I made:

I hope my GF liked her gift - it was VERY belated ... but it's the thought that counts, right? Hope you all have a great week and take care.

Secret Sister Swap - April

TGIF! Are you all looking forward to the weekend? I sure am! Tonight I'm meeting some super crafty ladies for some shopping and eating ... can't wait! One of the gals I'm meeting is Joy, who is the CATS coordinator, and the other is Kris, who runs the SSS. These two ladies are awfully crafty and although we're not crafting tonight, I hope there will be a time for us to get together again to do so. Anyhoo, on to my card for the April SSS! I finally ordered the circle and square lacey nesties and couldn't wait to use it. I knew I wanted to try a circle easel card and here's what I came up with:

It was super easy to make and I sure hope my Secret Sister likes it and the goodies I'm sending her! Have a wonderful weekend everyone and until next time, take care.

New blog!

Happy hump day! Wow, can't believe it's the middle of the week, but I sure am happy it is! Just wanted to let you know about a new blog. My girl Kris, of K-Lusive Kreations has started a new blog, showcasing her creations for sale! Check it out here and show her some love! See you soon my sister and have a great day everyone!

Card and Tag Swap (CATS) - April

My girlfriend, Joy, has started this great card and tag swap ("CATS"). April was the first month of the swap, and if you decide to sign up, it's a committment for three consecutive months. If I'm not mistaken, the next sign up will be for July-September. Check out Joy's blog for more info. The theme for April was anything Easter or Spring related. Since I missed Easter, I made this card and tag with Spring in mind.

I hope my partner liked my projects! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll be visiting again soon! Until then, take care.

Easter RAKs

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Well, here we are again, the beginning of another month! I can't believe this time last year I was stressing out because my son was graduating from high school ... how time flys! So before any more time gets away from me, I'd better post the RAKs I made for a recent get together. Here are some super simple little baskets filled with some chocolates:

Thanks for stopping by and please come back again soon as I'll be posting my SSS card and my first CATS project! Until next time, take care.
