Sister Stamps Release #15 - Day 4 - Otsu

Happy Sunday and thanks for coming back to see the BEST of the bunch! As much as I adore puppies and dogs, I am a total kitten and cat freak! So I was so very happy to see that Jenny and Denise included a kitty cat in this release! My project is a favor box featuring OTSU the cat. She also has a story so be sure to check out the Sister Stamps blog to read all about her.

The favor box is cut from a Sizzix die and the chicken wire on the inside is cut from a MFT die. I recently got a favor box from Bona, who is livelovescrap on YT, and I totally jacked her box. Thanks for the inspiration Bona!  The frame is a Spellbinders die, the sentiment is a super old SU stamp which was punched out using the SU word window punch. The mini butterflies are from a MS punch, and I colored Otsu, her yarn ball and the present with my Copics, and cut all of them out.

Close up of Otsu.

Sister Stamps Release #15 - Day 3 - Doogie

Hello!  And welcome back!  It's Day 3 of Sister Stamps Release #15 and today I'm using Doogie!  At first when I saw the name, all I could think about was "Doogie Howser, M.D."  Do any of you remember that show?  The child star was Neil Patrick Harris and I loved that show!  I guess I'm showing my age, but who cares!  Anyhoo, my project today started out as a paper bag card.  But, since I'm giving all of my puppy projects to the same person, I couldn't give her another card.  So, I turned the card into a mini album of sorts.  You'll get the idea of how it opens from the pictures, but be sure to check out my video link below to see it in action!  Heehee!  Here are the deets:  I decorated a mini clothes pin with some adhesive flat back pearls, this is what holds the album closed.  I layered some DP on top of the mini paper bag, which I got from Marisa, who is creativeyoungmama on YouTube.  I cut out a cardstock frame using my Spellbinders, colored Doogie with my Copics and cut her out, popped her up on the frame, added some pearls and the flowers.

This is the left side of the album when it's open.  There's space for a tiny picture and my friend can journal on the back of the tag that says "love to see your smile".  Cute yah?  Sorry Jenny, I totally copied you saying that!  Hahaha!

Here is the right side of the album.  This is where I've included two photo mats/journaling spots.  One mat says "Spoiled Rotten" and the other says "Loveable".

This is how the album looks all spread out.

I cannot take credit for this idea of a paper bag card/mini album.  I got the idea from browsing YouTube.  In case you didn't know, there are tons of videos out there for all kinds of paper crafts.  I didn't use one particular idea, but just used the basic concept.  So, to see how my project works, check out my YouTube video here.  Also, don't forget to leave a comment on my video because you might win little Doogie!!!  Be sure to visit the rest of the DT blogs listed below:

Sister Stamps Release #15 - Day 2 - Cappy

Happy Aloha Friday!  It's day 2 of Sister Stamps Release #15!  Today I'm showcasing Cappy - isn't she a cutie?!?  Before I forget, please be sure to read the Sister Stamps blog posts on each of these stamps.  They are named after real family pets!  As you can see, Cappy is on a tag - so you could say I made a dog tag.  Get it?  Hahaha!  Ok, so that wasn't as funny as I thought it was ... anyhoo, here are the deets on my tag:  I used some DP from a DCWV foil stack that I got from my GF Elsa, of Just A Few Designs (Hey Elsa!), layered it on some scrap cardstock, colored Cappy with my Copics and cut her out.  I used some twine and strung it through a flower eyelet at the top of the tag, and then added some lavender pearls and beads to the ends of the twine.  I also added a stick pin and a bottle cap, and some flat back pearls at the bottom left.

She's such a sweetie!!!

I totally love the way my tag turned out!  Now, here's the drill - be sure to visit the rest of the DT blogs listed below.  If you'd like to win Cappy, be sure to check out my YouTube video here and leave a comment.

Sister Stamps Release #15 - Day 1 - Kiki

Happy 2nd Birthday Sister Stamps!  Wishing you continued success and many more birthday celebrations!  For my first project, I've used Kiki!  Isn't she precious?!?  OMG, I can't stand it - she is just too cute!  So this is a very simple card - DP layered on some solid cardstock, the polaroid frame is a Lawn Fawn stamp and matching die, used more DP for inside the frame, flowers and bling from my stash, the Cutie Pie stamp is from Studio G, and I colored Kiki with my Copics.

Here's a closer look at Kiki ...

And an even closer look!

So what do you think?  I'm so happy with the way this card turned out!  It's going to one of my best friends, who just got a puppy!  Now, if you want to win Kiki, be sure to check out my YouTube video here and leave a comment.  You might be the lucky winner!  Also, be sure to check out the rest of the DT blogs for amazing projects by some very talented ladies!

Just A Few Designs - Stamp Release #1 - Love Bobot

Happy Friday everyone and welcome back to Day 2 of the Just A Few Designs Stamp Release #1!  I hope you all had a chance to visit The Sassy 6's blogs.  We are so excited and happy to be helping our friend Elsa with this new adventure in her life!  As I mentioned yesterday, the stamp I'm using today on my card is called "Love Bobot" and if you look real close, you can see that she's a robot!  For the back story on this cutie, check out Elsa's web store here.  I decided to keep the design of this card very simple since I didn't want to take any attention away from "Love".

Just A Few Designs - Stamp Release #1 - Abbie

Hi everyone!  Thanks for stopping in today!  It's a very special day here in the Sassy Mansion.  Elsa, who you all know and love from Just A Few Designs, has finally gone ahead with her dream of having her own stamp line!  Congratulations Elsa, and I just want to thank you so much for having me!  First in your Den with The Pride, and now in your Mansion with The Sassy 6!  I am truly grateful and humbled for being asked to help launch your stamp line!  Ok, enough with the mushy stuff - let's get down to business!  For this first release, Elsa has ten, yes - 10, super cute stamps being released.  Elsa, along with her design crew, The Sassy 6, will be showcasing each of these stamps today and Friday.  Then on Saturday, Elsa's new website, Just A Few Designs, goes live and you can get any or all of her stamps there!  By the way, if you decide to purchase one (or more) of Elsa's stamps, she will be giving away a free card kit with the purchase.  So, if YOU want to be the lucky winner of her kit, be sure you tell her you came from my blog.

Ok, so for my very first project using Just A Few Designs stamps, I've created a very sweet card using Abbie.  For the back story on Abbie and the rest of the gang, click here

Here's a close up of Abbie's beautiful eyes and the sentiment I used (I need to get a better camera, huh?).

Hey everyone, just popping in to let you know that some things are changing here on my blog and in my little crafty world.  The time has come for The Pride to say farewell ... We had some good times crafting together and I made some great friends.  But you know that saying, "As one door closes, another one opens?"  Well, another door will be opening very soon!  I hope you'll stop by on Thursday and see what's coming ...

Happy Father's Day Blog Hop ... with Just A Few Friends!

Welcome to another blog hop with Just A Few Friends, aka The Pride!  Hope you're having a great time so far.  You should've pounced into my den from Suzie's den.  However, if you didn't please be sure to start at our Den Mama Elsa's blog, here.  For this hop, I decided to make a card for my dad, who turned 90-years-young this past March!  In his younger days, he was an avid fisherman, so I knew exactly which stamp and what papers I was going to use.  My mom has been displaying the cards and gifts that I made for them, so I thought I'd make a simple easel card that she can display.  This Ian stamp is from an old TGF set called Rock The Farm.  I colored him with my Copics and cut out the frame with my nesties.  I added dew drops in the top and bottom corners and used a Whimsy Stamps ticket stamp and die for the sentiment.

I used my old school Dymo label maker to spell out DAD and wrote in the "#1".  The papers are from Bazzill and Bo Bunny.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope I've inspired you to create a card for that special father figure in your life.  Please be sure to stalk the next cub on the hop here.  Until next time, take care and happy crafting!
