Sister Stamps Release #12 - Chinese Zodiac - Dog

As I mentioned in my last post, I've decided to create ATCs for the Chinese Zodiac stamps.  Here is the image for the Year of the Dog.  Obviously, all these Zodiac images can be used with Asian themed paper, embellies, sentiments ... but I wanted to show that these images can be used for your everyday crafting as well.  Here's how my Year of the Dog ATC turned out:

I think my card turned out pretty cute ... now for more cuteness, please hop on over to the rest of the DT blogs (Debi, Vera, Patti, Eunice and Laura) and see what they're up to!  Of course, be sure to check out the Sister Stamps blog too - you never know when Jenny might have some blog candy up for grabs!  Until next time, take care!

Sister Stamps - Release #12 - Chinese Zodiac - Rooster

I decided to do an ATC card for this image, which represents the Year of the Rooster.  For the remaining releases, I'll be doing ATCs and at the end of the year, or after the last release, I'll be making all my cards into a book which will be a gift for a special friend.  Hmm, who could that be???  Don't you love this image?  Roosters aren't usually the nicest animals to look at, but this one is definitely a cutie.  Denise, you did an amazing job on ALL the Chinese Zodiac images!

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the rest of the wonderful Chinese Zodiac creations from Eunice, Patti, and LauraDebi and guest designer Vera have created awesome projects too, using the recently added, Akira and Yoichi!  Finally, be sure to stop by the Sister Stamps blog to see the amazing creations by our fearless leader, Jenny!  Until next time, take care!

Hello Kitty Desk Organizer

Hey guys!  Hope you're enjoying your Sunday!  I created this desk organizer for a challenge on myscraproom.ning.com.  There were so many possible looks for this organizer - vintage, shabby chic, Asian, Paris themed, etc.  None of those themes appealed to me (at the moment) so I decided to go cutesy and make a Hello Kitty themed desk organizer!  I finally used the Hello Kitty 12x12 paper pad my girl Nadine sent to me!  I also used some HK stickers from my stash, lace and pearl trim from Wal-Mart, the teardrop pearl trim from dear Elsa, and the blue washi tape from my bud Rina.  Thanks for my goodies ladies!  I'm really happy with the way it turned out!

Put a few supplies in ...

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great week and until next time, take care!

Hippity Hop Easter Blog Hop with The Pride

Hey everyone! Welcome to the Easter Blog Hop with The Pride!  You should've come here from Suzie's den, but if you didn't, please go back to the beginning of the hop, to Elsa's den here.  Hope you all are doing well!  As for me, I've been a terrible cubbie this month.  I procrastinated until the last minute to create my project.  Our challenge this month was to create something using a basket.  The basket could be an image on a card or tag, or an actual basket decorated for Easter.  So I prowled the web, hunting for a cute Easter basket I could make rather quickly.  I found a super easy tutorial for an Easter basket which I knew I could make in a flash.  Please check it out here and I want to thank Natasha for sharing her tutorial!  Thanks Natasha!

I used paper from SU and a paper pack I got at Wal-Mart.  The heart button and the flower and twine on it was an idea I got from my girlfriend Cami.  Thanks Cami!  The "Enjoy" sentiment is a flair which coordinates with the Wal-Mart paper.

I hope you give this basket a try.  It could also be used for all sorts of occasions and it is so easy to put together!  Next up on the hop is cubbie Margaret - check out her den here for an amazing Easter project!  Thanks so much for hopping by!  Until next time, take care and have a Blessed Easter!
